Our neighborhood borders land that is leased and mined by Martin Marietta Materials (MMM).  The rock, sand, and gravel mining performed by MMM requires the use of equipment and processes that occasionally creates sounds and vibrations that we feel and hear in our homes. This portion of the website is designed to answer questions you may have about these processes - namely the explosions we feel and hear when Martin Marietta uses dynamite to extract materials.
